Commenting on Dubai Municipality, the winner in the Best Procurement category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Congratulations to Dubai Municipality for digitally transforming its procurement process. The benefits of the initiative are astounding and include reducing the procurement cycle from 210 days to an average of 23 days and saving hundreds of millions of dirhams a year. The project has also done away with the need for paper, eliminated office visits and increased employee productivity by a staggering 290%. And it has boosted employee satisfaction rates to 98% from 87%. By introducing a transparent full digital cycle to procurement, Dubai Municipality is keeping its customers and staff happy.”

Aksigorta

Commenting on Aksigorta, the winner in the Best Health & Safety category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Aksigorta’s health and safety policies for staff are astonishing and incomparable. The Turkish insurance company is doing just about everything possible to keep its staff fit and healthy both physically and mentally. Before the pandemic, its wellbeing initiatives were inspiring but now they are even better. Aksigorta’s WellPower app that allows people to monitor steps and sleep, and their performance in competitive company-wide events is particularly impressive. Congratulations to Aksigorta for placing the wellbeing of its staff first and foremost before anything else.”

Auverture

Commenting on Auverture, the winner in the Best Innovation category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Congratulations to Amsterdam-based Auventure, a fine jewellery marketplace, for pushing up sales internationally with its jewellery box concept that bridges the gap between physical and online shopping. The unique NFC tagging system that Auverture developed is the secret behind the success of the jewellery box. Each jewellery item is tagged using NFC technology, allowing customers to scan it on their mobile device to find out more. Giving customers the opportunity to try on the jewellery in their home has produced glittering results and raised the conversion rate to 70% with customers buying an average of two items.”

Dubai Municipality

Commenting on Dubai Municipality, the winner in the Best Use of Technology category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Dubai Municipality has rolled out a brilliant new smart system that focuses on infrastructure and planning mainly for road projects. By enabling the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) to access Dubai Municipality’s shared platform, project plans and documents can be uploaded, compensation can be calculated for affected landowners, and approvals can be obtained by RTA and stakeholders. Congratulations to Dubai Municipality for digitising its planning system and enabling planning approvals to be obtained in record time, helping to speed up the implementation of new infrastructure projects that benefit Dubai’s economy.”

Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik

Commenting on Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik, the winner in the Best New Product/Service less than 2 years old category, the chairman of the judges said:

“After investing in digital channels after the pandemic struck, Turkish insurer and private pension provider Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik has produced amazing results with sales increasing six-fold against 2020. The company took a pioneering approach to the fast-moving changes in customer behaviour and developed new online products and services that enables clients to buy a product online in as little as five minutes. Congratulations to Anadolu Hayat Emeklilik for responding to a challenge in an innovative way and using digital technology to turn a disaster into a success through digitisation.”

1st Class Accounts

Commenting on 1st Class Accounts, the winner in the Best Small-Medium sized business category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Congratulations to 1st Class Accounts for achieving exceptional growth because of its strong customer focus. When customers join the company, they undergo a ‘tax medical’ to enabled the company’s staff to understand their business and goals so they can align its accountancy products to their objectives. Amazingly, because of its first-class service, 99% of business is generated through referrals. Started by Yemi Ajali in 2014, 1st Class Accounts is on track to have a staff of 20 and strong growth in turnover.”

Commenting on Resource Solutions, the winner in the Best Customer Focus category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Recruiter Resource Solutions’ highly successful customer-centric strategy coupled with its in-depth market knowledge and unique expertise in equality, diversity and inclusion has enabled it to expand to more than 60 global markets and manage hefty recruitment budgets worth billions. The fact that many clients stay with Resource Solutions for more than 20 years says it all about its professional and exemplary service. Well done to Resource Solutions for adapting and working flexibly to meet its customer’s individual requirements. ”

Nestlé Purina PetCare

Commenting on Nestlé Purina PetCare, the winner in the Best Innovation category, the chairman of the judges said:

“With about one in five cat owners allergic to their cats and mostly unwilling to give up their furry friend, Nestlé Purina PetCare’s has developed a cat food that helps reduce allergies in owners. Research found that cats naturally produce allergens in their saliva, which is spread to their fur and skin. The company’s Pro Plan® LiveClear® cat food reduces the allergens in cats’ saliva, which lessens allergic reactions in cat owners by about 47%. Well done to Nestlé Purina PetCare for helping cat lovers and their pets enjoy a happier relationship.”

Fluenta Solutions Ltd

Commenting on Fluenta Solutions Ltd, the winner in the Best Innovation category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Following the introduction of its ground-breaking ultrasonic sensing technology for measuring gas flare, Fluenta Solutions Limited has become a leader and disruptor in its market. The gas flare measurement technology has helped it win 75% of the offshore market, increase employment to 50 people and open an office in Dubai. Over the past two years, more than 50% of its revenue has come from its new invention. Congratulations to Fluenta Solutions for taking ultrasonic sensing technology to the next level and improving safety and profitability for the oil and gas industry.”

UK Leisure Living Group

Commenting on Gareth Jones founder/owner of UK Leisure Living Group, the winner in the Outstanding Entrepreneur category, the chairman of the judges said:

“After winning the Institute of Directors’ Young Director of the Year at the age of 31, Gareth Jones has gone from strength to strength. Through his ambition and drive, he has dealt admirably with many challenges and moved onto new things. As a natural progression from an existing business involving glamping construction, Gareth expanded into selling hot tubs. Well done to Gareth for creating one of the UK fastest growing hot tubs businesses in terms of volume, helping to swell the group’s turnover.”

Commenting on SunSibility, the winner in the Best Customer Focus category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Starting by providing sun protection creams and UV protective clothing for women with lupus, SunSibility has expanded its business and now works with The Vitiligo Society, The Albinism Fellowship and other organisations to cater for a wider group of sun sensitive people. The company’s product range now includes UV protective clothing, sunglasses, shades and sun cream products for women, men and children. Congratulations to SunSibility for overcoming many challenges, finding a niche market, innovating in specialist new products and enabling people with sun sensitive skin to enjoy the great outdoors safely.”

Yorkshire Building Society

Commenting on Yorkshire Building Society, the winner in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Congratulations to Yorkshire Building Society (YBS) for helping the homeless by partnering with charity End Youth Homelessness (EYH). YBS has gone beyond fund raising, and is supporting the charity to expand nationally, influence policy around youth homelessness and financial inclusion, and educate its staff about youth homelessness. “Congratulations to Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority for inventing a smart business card that is being used by its employees across the United Arab Emirates. The smart version does away with the paper business card and it is considerably more efficient. Employees can quickly share their job title and contact details via a mobile device or QR code. By digitising the business card, it improves the service for staff, provides cost savings and reduces the need for printing and recycling paper.”

Commenting on Creams Franchising Ltd, the winner in the Best Innovation category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Creams Franchising is a rising brand in the dessert market. With 100 Creams cafe stores in the UK, it is now set for expansion at home and overseas. Its latest innovation Creams Dessert Poke Bowl is boosting profits and helping it achieve its goals. Based on the concept of the Japanese poke bowl where diners mix food and flavours, Creams’ dessert version contains a waffle topped with cookie dough gelato, strawberry and banana and other goodies. Well done to Creams for developing a sweet treat that has produced a tasty boost in sales.”

Commenting on Helen Taylor, the winner in the Outstanding Personal Achievement category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Congratulations to Helen Taylor for coming out on top when the going gets tough. While many beauty salons had to close for long periods during the pandemic, Helen managed to increase revenue by 5.45% even though her business Helen Taylor Aesthetics was only open for four months in 2020. Helen managed to achieve while others floundered by investing in new equipment, upgrading her website and streamlining business processes. Helen is a talented strategic thinker who has all the traits of a true entrepreneur and leader.”

Commenting on Hayat, the winner in the Outstanding Support During COVID-19 category, the chairman of the judges said:

“Turkey-based Hayat company has been running an exceptional, heart-warming campaign called Molfix Bond with Love that aims to reduce infant deaths caused by preventable causes. The all-encompassing project for mothers, midwives and nurses has given the gift of education, psychological support for mothers and provided vital medical equipment. During the pandemic, much of the campaign was switched to video and online support. Congratulations to Hayat for running an incredibly worthwhile campaign that has reached thousands and thousands of mothers and mothers to be and medical professionals.”

Commenting on ZER, the winner in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category, the chairman of the judges said:
