Sustainability Awards
Sustainability Awards:
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG)
Sustainability
Many companies today recognise the fundamental power of ESG to transform their business and make it an attractive proposition to both customers and investors alike, adding value and boosting their position in the market. We would like to hear of organisations who have put much time and effort into ensuring that they operate in a transparent and ethical way. They will have considered their environmental position, considerably reduced their impact, and demonstrated increased sustainability. The ways in which they operate within society will be significantly beneficial, and they will have fostered positive and supportive relationships with their workforce and those in their local community. Last, but not least, they will apply governance effectively and with clarity, meeting the needs of all stakeholders.
Green Excellence Award
Sustainability
We are interested to hear what steps your business has taken to become a greener operation. Going green has several benefits for companies: it can, for example, cut costs, improve productivity, and create a healthier work environment. There are numerous ways to improve the impact that organisations have on the environment. However, new ways of operating need to be sustained, and we want to learn of businesses who have embraced the need for change and are now implementing policies that will help address, long-term, the environmental problems we are all facing. Tell us of your green ethos, your goals towards achieving green status, the actions your company has taken, and what you have planned for the future.
Outstanding Ethical Supply Chain
Sustainability
The ethical responsibilities of a business apply to those employed by the organisation, but also to the key elements that make up the supply chain, for example, raw materials, components and labour. How does your business ensure that you source goods and/or services ethically? What principles do you adopt when conducting your business and how do these impact on the ethical choices you make and the practices you undertake? What forms of regulation do you have in place to guarantee that you maintain your ethical position?
Climate Action Award
Sustainability
This award will recognise companies that are using innovation to tackle climate change. We want to hear of the ground-breaking measures you have taken to become carbon neutral and the impact that this has had on your business. Tell the judges about your latest sustainable environment protection schemes involving energy efficiency, waste reduction, recycling and reducing the carbon footprint. How have you embedded a green ethos into your company culture? Demonstrate the steps you are taking now that will ensure your organisation continues to operate at the cutting edge of the green agenda in the future.
Best Sustainable Process/Product
Sustainability
This award will recognise best practice related to a specific product and/or processes and procedures. Entries will demonstrate how this practice minimises impact on the environment and/or delivers environmental benefits. You should detail how the objectives of sustainability for the product/process were identified and the ways in which these were met. Provide measurable outcomes and details of how the product will meet future sustainability goals.
